Medical Aid in Dying

When My Time Comes is a the story of Diane Rehm’s exploration of the issue of medical aid in dying, which is an option for terminally ill patients with six months or less to live who are deemed capable of making their own medical decisions and meet certain other legally prescribed criteria. Currently available to over 20% of the U.S. population and being considered in state legislatures across the country, it is an option that John Rehm, Diane Rehm’s husband of 54 years, wanted before he died in 2014, but could not have.

You can view a screening of this film locally on Channel WHRO on Sunday, April 11 at 7:00PM.
