Join us for our monthly series to 'step into the past' with vivid storytelling from dynamic historic character actors. Each month, a new interpreter will bring their compelling journey to life and respond to questions about the era in which they lived.
March 2: Abigail Adams (November 22, 1744 - October 28, 1818). Abigail Adams (née Smith) was the wife and closest advisor of John Adams, second President of the United States, and mother to John Quincy Adams, sixth President of the United States. She lived the simple life, the daughter of a minister, until she married John Adams in 1764. This marriage would take her from the Revolution to a new Nation. After writing many letters to her husband and advising him on his political career, a simple life is what she wishes to return to.
