9:45 a.m. - 10:45 Guest presenters from Generations Home Health“What you didn’t know that can ease medical challenges”

10:45 a.m - 11:00  Refreshment break

11:00 a.m - 12 p.m. Workshops led by FPC members

Guest presenter, Terry Flowers, Director of Generations Home Health, will educate us on the many options of home health care. This medicare sanctioned organization works in conjunction with hospitals and Doctor offices in providing skilled nursing in homes. They provide more than postoperative physical therapy. They offer proactive education and transition for a variety of diseases including Parkinson’s, cancer, chemotherapy, etc. Physical therapists will provide individual fall screenings as well as blood pressure screenings in our fellowship hall.

Workshops

Grillin’ and Smokin’ meats: Someone’s in the kitchen with Imri Bowman and that someone could be you!  Imri plans to teach you how to prepare and cook ribs, chicken, and pork butt at home. Did you know that Imri caters to Bar B Que?  Many concur that he has provided “the leanest and tastiest Bar B Que we’ve ever eaten at our previous Church suppers and gatherings.”

Knit three, purl three with purpose: Closely Knit group members are on a mission! Join us in the parlor as Helen Junkin gives the history and purpose of our “Prayer Shawl” ministry. If you want to learn how to knit or crochet or even enhance your skills, come, learn, and perhaps join our congregational care ministry. Those who have received these warm and lovely prayer shawls can testify to how comforting they have been during stressful times.

$5.00 fee to attend both Day 3 and Day 4.
